Descripción:
Thirty images found by one of the authors when recovering a family legacy. Thirty old prints, advertisement for two drugs (Kalmine and Metacyline). The cards reproduced images of Hollywood actors from the first half of the 20th century.
Intervened with graffiti faces, animals, wall stains, etc. Each image is accompanied by a verse from a poem by the authors that integrates the adventures of the cardboard from its former owner and its current owners.
Treinta imágenes que encontró uno de los autores al recuperar un legado familiar. Treinta viejas estampas, propaganda de dos medicamentos (Kalmine y Metacyline). Las cartulinas reproducían imágenes de actores de Hollywood de la primera mitad del siglo XX.
Intervenidas con rostros de grafitis, animales, manchas de paredes, etc. Cada imagen se acompaña de un verso de un poema de los autores que integra la peripecia de las cartulinas desde su antiguo propietario y sus actuales poseedores.

before our eyes.
Thirty faces that once
were in that indeterminate place
that exists between us and the cameras of unknown photographers.
Thirty shoulders that now hold
cartoons, drawings and photographs
from other people, from animals, from worn walls
aimed at satisfying the vanity of creating
the illusion of being recognized and loved.
Thirty stamps, smoke and rubber casings
who in their day were brilliant actors,
specialists in building characters,
specialists in transferring to other generations
the voices of the past.
Thirty verses that sew the faded images
of representations of the future
built with drawings and paintings,
with photographs of the present.
Thirty Kalmine pain relief stamps.
Thirty Metacyline tablets that do not attack the heart.
Ephemeral crafts on images of disappeared bodies
ink tears that an old craftsman
hoarded between boxes,
tinted papers that we keep
like the dry petals of a flower

orientadas a satisfacer la vanidad de crear
